>low end pc games
>hollow knight, magicka 1 & 2
>cant run either of them

the others work but stays around 10 fps

I'm conflicted about buying a new desktop.
I've gotten so use to playing low end games I don't know if I will play resource heavy games again.
I'd be getting it to play modded stalker with better fps essentially.
Yea, my PC is a relic.

you don't BUY PCs.
You BUILD them, thus saving up to hundreds of bucks, getting better specs, no bloatware, and also learn a lot about computers while at it.

I personally built my current PC back in early 2011, and I've yet to have change a single thing in it. Paid quite exactly 1000€, including real copy of W7 Ultimate, and all the items were around mid-tier at the time.
Only now have SOME recent games started to really stress it so that I need to have multiple settings on Low (ie. RE7 & TW3) to gain good performance, but it's been worth every penny.

Caves of Qud.

Then you don't have a low end PC. You have an unplugged monitor or some ancient machine still running Windows 2000.
>>
if I wanted to build a ~800$ PC, how long will I need to wait for the new cryptocurrency fad to end so GPUs are in stock?

Spelunky, Binding of Isaac, Factorio, Orwell, Invisible Inc., Uplink, Stardew Valley

no bitcoiner buys that high-end GPUs for the mining purposes. It's all about cheap AMD crap.

And i5 + GTX 1060 6GB + 8GB RAM would last you quite a while still, and cost around or less than 800 bucks.
>>
>>382236312
good to know, thanks anon
>>
Bumpan to learn some relatively modern games like
>>382236279
that won't burn my laptop in the middle of summer.
>>
Vampire the masquerade bloodlines
On a toaster the only place I got less than great fps was the beach
>>
>>382233994
Pretty much any indie game will probably play well

Also every single Grand Strat game, which was my go-to when playing on a craptop.
>>
>>382233994
I bought the original Ghost Recon game + expansion packs on Steam. They're pretty good if you're into tactical shooters, and work fine as long as you play in windowed mode.
I'd also suggest Doorkickers.
>>
>>382239884
Yeah I'll probably pick it up. Do you know if stalker will run on a laptop
>>
Grim Fandango is good but you'll probably want to use the original graphics and not the remastered option

what the fuck
maybe a duel on the smallest map and lowest settings
playing on largest map with max AI and nation states will fuck your shit up deeper in the game

Played a large game last time on my HP envy x360 it ran good on low 720p
>>
>>382233994
-Talos Principle (HUGE options menu, start tweaking!)
-STALKER trilogy (use DX8 Static Lighting mode)
-FEAR 1 + expansion packs
-Half-Life series in whole (& anything on Source)
-Doom 1 & 2 (and anything from 1990s really)
-Emulators up to N64 & GBA era.
>>
>>382234997
Forget about it for a while because GPU prices has been driven twicefold with mining retards. After crash happens though you'll be able to get a semi-fried GTX 1080 for 100$
>>
>>382233994
Buy Enclave, it's basically kids' Dark Souls game.
>>

Depends on the laptop. Stalker is a bit old now, and the vanilla graphics arent really demanding. Im sure with a decent laptop you'd be okay though.

Try the Shadowrun games. Especially Dragonfall. They're pretty great CRPGs and will quench your thirst for some cyberpunk while waiting for 2077.

My laptop shutdown because of overheating yesterday.

I was playing Darkest Dungeon.
>>
>>382243495
Danganronpa
VLR
All kinds of 2D metroidvanias like HK, Guacamelee or Valdis Story
Platformers
Dunno how hardware-intense SNES emulation is, but there's a big catalogue there aswell, Terranigma for example

I'm just throwing shit

Here's games I played recently;
Danganronpa
SMT Strange Journey
Dragon Quest 9
Evil Genius
Dragon Quest Monster: Joker 2
