Do silent hill 1 got sidequest? I'm currently playing it and I'm on the way to the hospital, but I explored a bit before going there, I found a police station and some memos about some guys having a heart attack and I also hear some strange growling on the police station, I was unable to determine where the source of the sound and also the attic shop require a key and I needed a gasoline to use the drill

It's stil 1. 1 just exemplifies what I want in a horror game. Manages to keep me in a constant sense of dread. Like, other people get mad when "the lock is broken. It can never be opened" but I get a sense of RELIEF.

I love 2 and it definitely makes me uncomfortable but not in the same league as 1. The otherworld in 1 is legit brutal. All those fans and blades and blood and suffering. Incredible.

There is a side quest to get the best ending. It'll spoil it for you though.

It's not a long game so I suggest you do one run then go back with a guide. SH1 is the very definitiin of a masterpiece of how to do a love letter to a genre so I urge you to play it once without ruining anything. You miss very, very little

The best I can do is ask if you still have the empty bottle in the hospital and did you take note of the spilt liquid in there too.

Also make sure you find the motel and search thoroughly.

Silent Hill 3 mostly because I had a crush on Heather when I played it back in the day and it was the first Silent Hill game I'd beaten without any guides or help.

That being said I do have fond memories of watching my mother play the first game and getting scared by some of the scenes in it when i was even younger.

Yeah she used to play a lot back in the day, not so much anymore due to motion sickness when playing games on HD TVs. She's the reason I got in to games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill at a young age.
