Won't see an emulator for a while. We haven't seen any PS4 or XB1 emulators and they just use stock AMD x86 Jaguar APUs. Should technically be even easier to emulate because you can virtualize the x86 stuff and run it natively. But nothing yet.

The ARM A57 is a 64-bit RISC chip with ARM's NEON SIMD instructions. It will require a very high end CPU to emulate and it won't happen any time soon. The Nvidia GPU has a DX12 feature set beyond what any current AMD currently has so you would be limited to Nvidia at present and it will take some time to do high level emulation to offload on to your GPU. Emulation is a couple years off at the very least and we will see PS4 before then

It's possible that someone who is external to the scene will show up and use the knowledge contained within the SDK to write an emulator. This has happened in the past with Cemu.

Binaries created with the leaked SDK will not run on retail versions. Even if people were to use it for writing homebrew, it'd be a futile attempt. Furthermore, it's evident that this is a leak of a pre-release collection of Switch SDK tools and documentation. Things may have changed between then and the release of 1.0.0. So basically, hacks are going to be the only way out for this.

While this knowledge may help developing hacks, the Switch employs address space layout randomization (ASLR). In order to defeat that and achieve user mode code execution, it's effectively required to break at least into kernelspace. Given the current progress (and how mostly useless the SDK seems to be in that regard) as well as the tendency of hackers to hoard some exploits so they can continue hacking newer versions, you likely won't see anything until mid-2018 in private circles.

Not enough about the system is currently known. If there is need for a TrustZone breach, forget about it until 2019. Actually, I'd like if people from that team tackled it. Sure, it'd probably be closed source (at least during the initial development), but having people work on an emulator full time is really the best case scenario. Even RPCS3 (a 100% free open source project) has a full time developer from patreon support. And seriously, you can just wait a week for Cemu updates if you don't want to financially support them.

The real issue is that developing an emulator based on leaked documentation is a huge HUGE legal liability, especially with an open source project. If people take the Dolphin route, i.e. banning anyone who's looked at leaked GC or Wii docs/SDK from contributing to Dolphin development, then no one will get in legal trouble, although the development would be slower.
