Which overall games do you prefer more, /v/? Mario's

Mario, sonic peak was in the early 90s while Mario continues to be a great franchise with not only quality platformers but has has great spin off games as well from RPGs to Party games, unfortunately those fell from grace kinda like sonic as a franchise after 1994...until arguably Colors and Generations I guess but Mania looks legitimately promising I will say that.

Mario's games tend to have a more consistent quality, while Sonic games range anywhere from great to mediocre to disastrous.

Mario's weakest games are better than Sonic's strongest games, so Mario.

Mario games are more 'fun', as in they have less faults to them. I haven't been impressed by a Mario game in a long time, since SM 64. Galaxy wasn't all that to me. Sonic games, when they get going, is artistically mesmerizing. Looking forward to Mania far more than Odyssey, but will be playing both.

The idea that Sonic has had any good games since the mid 90s is laughable.

Meanwhile every 3D Mario is incredible.

And shit, even if we include spin-offs, that means Sonic Racing Transformed vs almost the entirety of Mario Kart, classics like SMRPG, BIS, TTYD, Mario Party 2-3, Yoshi's Island, etc. Its not even close.

Mario, but I like the best Sonic game over the best Mario game.

Sonic Generations was better than any of the Mario games around that timeframe. NSMB shit, 3D Land, 3D World, Generations is better than all of them. And like I said, that was a rarity because like you said, the next game was some shitty Mario Galaxy copycat that completely went backwards on Sonic design philosophy.

Sonic has a lot of shitty games, but since S3&K, CD, and soon to be Mania exist, I have to say Sonic. Mario varies from mediocre to good, Sonic varies from fucking horrible to game of the century.

Look I just like sonic more, the character, settings, and games. I expect some incredulous nintendorks to stare at this post in shock and awe. Mario has some good games no question about it, but they are just never as fun to me as sonic games are. I'll take sonic 3, you take mario world. I'll take sonic adventure 2, you take mario 64. I'll take sonic heroes, you enjoy sunshine bro. I'll take sonic unleashed, you have fun with mario galaxy, no problem. I'll take sonic generations, I hope you enjoy mario 3D world.

It literally does not fucking matter and spouting whatever reprogramming that youtubers and metacritic have drilled into your head doesn't mean shit to me or anyone who genuinely prefers Sonic.

Sunshine is ok and 3D Land and World are mediocre and boring. Colors and Generations are really much better than everything besides the Galaxy games and 64. Not relevant, but Sonic has always been better than Mario in 2D.
