The Crash Bandicoot games were pretty great. Don't get me wrong.
But the Ape Escape games were always leagues above them. So how come Ape Escape is such a niche franchise in comparison? I almost never see any buzz about Ape Escape in mainstream media, but people have been clamouring for Crash for ages now and it ultimately led to the N. Sane Trilogy.
I have no real hopes for an Ape Escape Trilogy though, even though those games were always, as stated, leagues better.

I had a pretty sweet AE thread going the other day. Most agreed we needed more monkey. Shame it released in such a time where PS owners didn't care for those type of games. Even games like Ratchet and Jak had to go darker and edgier to stay in (deadlocked and combat racing)

The level is only horrible during the first play-through. You can EASILY do everything in blighttown in 30 minutes or less 2nd play through and on.
