Seasons add new legendaries and shit into the mix. And it's a fresh start from zero, that rolls into your "Non seasonal" once finished, so you keep all the rewards too.

I'm astounded by the sheer incompetence of nu-Blizzards employees.

Pic related is the "Assassin" class from Diablo 2. Se the multilayered protections she has on her legs? The game's designers took inspiration for the armors of certain Asian warriors (mainly samurai), which featured said multilayered design, as part of her skill tree is also inspired by Asian martial arts.

That class has that feature in her design, and it's unique to her. Other classes feature different design patterns, each unique to them. Furthermore, each class plays rather differently.

The first thing I spot when seeing OP? Multilayered armor and a steampunky corset. Wtf. Worst thing is, every other class already features multilayered armor. And that reflects the fact that every other class feels much samey mechanically than they did in Diablo 2.

I understand they making them more mechanically similar to keep the game balanced. It's an aberration, but I understand it. But why the fuck make all the classes use the same aesthetic cues?

Fuck Blizzard, and fuck every single one of you who pays money for their shitty products.

Did they ever make it possible to have a real pet build? I remember seeing videos from the beta and being disgusted that something like skeleton mage and archer were short duration turrets and there were very few interesting pet based legendaries and passives. Also that the pet set focused hard on army of the dead despite it just being a nuke under the guise of summoning.

It's more complex, well thought out and enjoyable than Diablo 3 could have ever been.

I am really getting from this game what I always wanted from the (hypothetical) Diablo 3.

Atmosphere, story/lore and combat are fucking spot on. If you even as much liked Diablo 2 or hack and slash games in general and if you enjoy dark/gothic settings, get it.

Grim Dawn is literally Titan Quest with grimdark atmosphere and slightly better graphics. If you like TQ, you will like GD.
I hated it because I've spent hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of hours in TQ back in the day and I just can't look at it anymore without nausea coming up my throat.
But I agree that the game in itself is pretty good, I've beaten 1st act and it had some cool shit

I don't know take a wild guess. My friend diehard d3 fan says that the way necro was left when beta closed, he was severely underpowered as compared to other classes and had only 1 maybe 2 builds viable at 80+ gr.

I know this post is a joke playing off on how Reaper of Souls "fixed everything", but it still seems a bit pointless.

If you have been having any level of fun in D3, you haven't gotten any content for over 3 years now, $15 for a new class seems like nothing. If you don't care/dislike Diablo 3 you certainly don't care about the Necro either and will just go shit on the game in every thread talking about how Path of Exile or Diablo 2 are superior. PoE isn't, Diablo 2 was.

Yeah plenty, and pistol demo is one of them, but sometimes the aoe isn't built in the base skill so it's something you attach to the skill.

I think we can gather that instead of releasing a second expansion after reaper of souls blizz opted for a small dlc as a closing chapter for Diablo 3. If they decided to introduce a new class then the most requested by far made sense.


Some of the diablo team is working on a different project I can only imagine a diablo like game perhaps even diablo 4. I think blizz can monetize the genre better with a new IP free from the expectations of diablo franchise though, specially after the success of gacha in OW and HOTS.
