With modern consoles using x86 architecture it should be ridiculously easy to port games from PC, the devs of shit like Bam Ham and Bioshock felt the need to make it "look better" even though they had 1/100th of the original game's budget and none of the original artists on board.

The best remasters are the ones that don't fuck with the original but make subtle improvements to stuff like particularly low res textures and effects instead.
