eX+ content is based as fuck but you literally have no choice so just play the original. Its still great.

I have a PS4 so I could just wait for that, I just like playing on handhelds more and Remote Play doesn't play nice in my experience.

Already brought it yesterday at a NYC game store early.

Good god is it fucking fun. Basically Trails of Cold Steel (Still need to beat the true final boss sometime damnit.) meets Persona, with Kingdom Heart's battle system.

Vanilla isn't horrendous or anything, it was still fantastic. eX+ just has an asstards amount of extra content and looks, runs and plays better.

If anything you could just watch the extra content online if you don't want to replay it or spend the extra cash to buy it twice.

No, it's an action rpg like Ys.
Just not nearly as challenging.

That's literally the only personal fault I have with the game, its really easy unless you go absolute maximum difficulty.
