It is a decent 7/10 game. It is more of a mix of RE4 and Silent Hill.

Ammo supply is stupidly low in this game though, they don't give you enough and you end up fighting large mobs or even bosses with no ammo.

I got stuck on one boss for hours because I didn't have enough ammo to kill it. In the end I had to git gud and spend an hour chipping away at its health with melee.

The story is bad, characters pretty bland, and pacing pretty poor. And the entire last 3rd is way too actiony and shooter like, everything from when you get to the city to the end is pretty bad.

But I think the core gameplay, the weapons and upgrades, the stealth, and monster and boss designs are all great. With work it could have been a fantastic game.

Instead its a 7 at best.

Ammo was stupidly low when I played it. And that was with conserving as much as possible. Then again I did play on the hardest difficulty, not sure if ammo is more restricted on higher difficulties though.

There were many times I was short of ammo though, mainly mid game onwards. The only time I had a lot of ammo was the last part of the game when you get to the asylum.

The controls were literally RE4 just better, the only reason you felt them hard to control is because you had to do weapon/equipment switching in real time instead of just pausing the game. Enemies were also way more aggressive and stronger so fucking things up was punished way more.

The story was WAY better than RE4 or 90% of the survival horrors if you actually understood what was it about, which is pretty unlikely considering you don't even understand the reason the levels seemingly randomly shifted into each other.

REALLY shitty weapon and customization variety spoils it for me.
The only fun weapon in the entire game is a crossbow and it's starved for ammo.

You are a good example that shows that the people saying this game is shit or even mediocre doesn't even understand how they supposed to play it and just go in like they are playing RE4/5/6 or DS1-3.

This game wasn't a punishing shooting gallery game like the others. You were always supposed to think in how you can bring out the best from the equpment/ammo/environment you've got and always seek how could you take down multiple enemies with just one shot.
