It was good back in the day but it hasn't withstood the test of time. I know it's fun to laugh at Oblivion's voice acting but considering it was Bethesda's first attempt at fully voiced dialogue for every character in the game, something that was very rare for the time, it was a decent effort.

How do I install OBSE ?I followed the instructions and keep getting crashes. I put the files where I'm suppose to and tried using the tes mod manger. Both ways got the game to crash and followed the steam instructions .

This argument will never end, and it's fucking retarded.
The best game in TES is whichever fucking game you played first.
The TES formula appeals to your sense of exploration & wonder, and it'll suck up hundreds of hours of your life.
After your first experience with it, however, you're bored with it.
You may be able to kind of enjoy another TES game, but you'll never get that first experience back, and all of the other games will seem like shit in comparison.
Oblivion is my favorite, simply because I played it first. I hated Skyrim at launch because it seemed so small and dull compared to my memories of Oblivion. I replayed it recently, however and realized it wasn't nearly as bad as I'd initially thought.
When TES 6 comes out, everyone on /v/ will say it sucks massive cocks.
Five years after that, there'll be a whole new group of /v/irgins that played it when they were 13 and think it's the greatest fucking thing they've ever played and they'll shit all over Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim.
