Now that No Man's Sky has had a significant price drop on Steam, is it worth picking up now?
It seems like a comfy enough game to play for relaxation/passive exploring, and I heard they had some nice updates planned (no idea on the specificis, just that they're planned). I didn't follow what they had initially promised everyone so I'm not in huge danger of getting disappointed when it comes to that, but what do you guys think?
Is there a decent modding community available?
If you really want to play it just pirate it. Why would you willingly give Sean Murray money?

Just pirate it lmao

you should GET money from the devs for playing it - not spent money on it - not even 0.01$!
yeah, it's pretty good for relaxation. i liked some planets and observing weird monsters that look like people in costumes. depends how much it costs but for $20 you won't be robbed

No. Controls n gameplay are pure ass
Not worth the HD space, download time or any kind of money.
It sounds like It's going to be relaxing, until you realize that every interaction you have with the game is feeding some sort of meter that annoyingly chirps at you as it drains.
It gets really boring really fast after you visit a few planets and realize they are all the same thing in terms of landmass and features, just with different color filters splashed over them

Ovasgame my nuggle

if you desperately want a resource gatherer game with elements of exploration, that's several times cheaper - get Subnautica and copy-paste the game folder 5000 times

piratebay- get a GOG copy, in case the game is released gog.
