Move over, Overwatch, there's a new and more skill based e-sport in town.

>dead shit game
No thanks faggot.
>>382011962
Fuck off, we've already decided to support Quake Champions to kill Overwatch, stop dividing us.
>>382013492
>we
lol
But that's not Dirty Bomb
>W10
No one talks about Gigantic, but I really dig it.
>>382011962
Make way for the freshness.
How much are you being paid to shill this?
>>382013642
It stopped being Windows 10 exclusive a while ago, anon.
>>382013608
Dirty Bomb actually requires you to be good, so it's naturally less popular than these other character shooters. A shame, too. It's by far the deepest one out of them all.
>>382013642
Since they partnered with Perfect World there is W7 open beta as of right now.
>>382013642
time to upgrade..
>>382013704
It's a fun game. A shame most people here still think it's exclusive to Windows 10. The Steam release should help with that.
>>38201196
>make team based game
>remove chat functionality
sounds smart
>>382014043
>using W32 when a UWP option is available
why?
Its fun for the first couple of hours but its shallower than Overwatch somehow and gets pretty tired and boring pretty quickly. Also it feels.. Floaty somehow? Like a lot of your actions have no weight or impact. I expected a lot better after all the praise i see thrown around.
>>382014529
>its shallower than Overwatch somehow
how?
>>382014712
There just doesn't feel like there's enough variety in the game at the moment. You see all the game has to offer in the first couple of games. Maybe it'll have more content in a year or two?
Wake me up when this piece of shit gets removed.
>Dude what if we made our pudge/roadhog the most mobile character in the game lmao
>>382014869
>Everyone too busy shitting on Tripp pubstomping them to notice the real assassin menace pulling and fisting their team one by one
A half decent Wu is a headache to deal with
>>382014712
i havent played overwatch but to me its shallow because each hero only has like 4 abilities and you're never really doing anything that isnt one of those abilities. all your actions are limited to those defined by your hot keys
also no chat functionality other than ping so every match is a retardfest
>>382015250
The worst part is even when he fucks up the nature of maps make his jump one of the best escape skills in the game.
Every Wu I see that isn't feeding right off the bat always has some kind of ludicrous K:D because of how hard it is to actually finish him off.
>>382015782
>all your actions are limited to those defined by your hot keys
I disagree. A lot of heroes make use of their LMB attacks in engagements, especially melee heroes that have access to a follow-up attack after dodging/aerial melee attacks that can inflict Cripples.
I agree 100% on chat functionality however. Right now you're limited to pings or voice chat (With no Push-to-Talk. It's either open mic or nothing) that is disabled by default. Text chat and better voice chat are high up on the devs' to-do list but it should have been there from the start.
>>382013608
oh boi sure love this game. bit of a shame they nerfed vaseline doe
Heres my fucking 2 cents on this fucking game
It was far better before they moved to windows 10 only. regardless of Arc client or not its fucking ridiculous that when they moved over it broke the fucking client just like when they moved it to arc. I get fucking disconnects in character select constantly, as well as the actual game client making my mouse feel fucking retardedly slow and awkward. compile that with no chat and how floaty and unvisceral it feels and you've got wasted potential. I had fun for about 10 hours in the closed beta but that was years back.
>>382011962
what is it with this overwatch clone hype?
Only normie scum give a shit about this type of games. Get out and go shill your shit on the ign forums.
>>382015782
>i havent played overwatch but to me its shallow because each hero only has like 4 abilities and you're never really doing anything that isnt one of those abilities.
That's exactly OW. Actually, that's any MOBA dude. At least this game gives you the option to choose different upgrade paths. What else do you want to do though?
>>382016481
The chat thing pisses me off too. Funny thing is, they actually had it in the game before, but removed it for some reason.
>Skill based
Dead on arrival.
The fact that Overwatch isn't skill based in the slightest is exactly why it is so popular.
>>382011962
It's an FPS. It's a third person MOBA like Smite but with extremely good cell shading.
It's third person Battleborn without the Gearbox and Randy Pitchford baggage.
Success relies on how much Microsoft whores it out. Game needs a pimp.
>>382017339
>Want to dispute this but it's true
Appealing to the masses with 'Press Q to Win' ultimates so everyone feels special is awful.
You know that nothing's gonna push Overwatch anywhere cause the people who play Overwatch don't do it cause it's a good game but because they like the designs and headcanon the fuck outta the cast, right?
>>382013608
Shit I spent like 350 hours on this game, left it when they nerfed Sparks
Are all the heroes free, or do you have to unlock them when it comes out on Steam? And if you don't have to unlock them, how else do they fuck you with microtransactions?
>e-sports
>>382015782
> to me its shallow because each hero only has like 4 abilities and you're never really doing anything that isnt one of those abilities.
Yes, attacking is something you do in the game it's integral to playing it. Each ability has a purpose though and I can't think of one that isn't useful, some of them have several uses, Like Sven's elastic ooze. With just that you can:
>gain access to higher locations
>escape from team fights easier
>block off enemy escapes in tight spaces/corridors
>lob people off cliffs if placed correctly
>interrupt enemy players/creatures from summoning their orbs on points
>can be upgraded to enhance your healing ability
>can be upgraded to debuff enemies
Some of the versatility comes through in the form of upgrades. Beyond that though is managing stamina and utilizing your dodge (which people just don't do). Knowing where, when, and what to summon is important too. There's a decent bit of depth to this game that'll be discovered over time if we can get a decent sized community going, but everything is fucking everywhere right now and we won't know how big this could get until the Steam launch.
There should be a way to upgrade your skills with Hotkeys...
but last time I play, you have to use the mouse to level up stuff....
why is so hard to come up with something.
Controllers for sure level up with some hotkeys....
>>382016881
wait they still haven't implemented chat? holy shit what are they thinking?
is it being ported to consoles or something?
>>382018483
You unlock them with the gamer's gold you win after matches and from completing fortune cards (quests). Those cards also give you jewels sometimes which are the games paid currency. You can unlock most skins with gold, but some can only be unlocked with Jewels, purchasing the founder's pack (only two coustumes), or special means like following them on Twitch or Twitter. They also have free rotation and all that.
The grind isn't LoL levels of bad, but it can be pretty annoying after you exhaust the gold you get early on from playing the tutorial. Fortunately, the cards make it a little easier, but only a little. Oh. and you can also use jewels to get gold boosts after matches. I think the game even gives you 20 matches of gold boost for free.
