As far as I know you do need a Wiimote for virtual Wii games, but for the Wii U side you can use any USB controller to emulate the shitty gamepad

SD card, an external HDD for storing games(preferably with its own power supply or a Y cable). Note that you need separate drives for Wii U and Wii/Gamcube games. Personally, I use an SD card for the vWii to prevent any conflict.

It's really as simple as moving files to an SD card and loading up a webpage on the internet, Nintendo doesn't even acknowledge the Wii U exists so expect it to never get patched.

Nintendo basically abandoned the Wii U so it's still hackable at the latest firmware.

All it really takes is moving files to a external storage to plug into the Wii U (SDcard, USB drive, etc)

I'm not sure if a coldboot method is ready yet (where the hack is applied at launch), but I know you can use a browser exploit or buy Brain Age and run a exploit to turn that into Haxxchi which lets you skip having to go the browser and just launch Haxxchi when you need sig patches applied to the Wii U. It's really easy. It's been a while since I've paid attention the Wii U scene, so it might be a bit updated.

PCSX2 added mipmapping to the hardware renderer not too long ago, which was the last PS2 feature they didn't have working (you could do it but you had to use the software renderer which killed frames, or just leave mipmapping disabled and have garbage textures on distant objects). 3U is pretty fucking good, the native 1080p graphics look fucking crisp, but it hovers around 25-30fps, the 3DS port is much smoother at 60fps

i did for breath of the wild and i found it absolutely dreadful. sometimes i boot it up for some gamecube games when i have friends over, but other than that i never touch it. never again nintendo.

I don't use my Wii U anymore, and I don't feel like getting yet another SD card and external HDD to hack a console I already played all the good games for.

Follow the steps in the first link until you get to disc2app, then switch to the other one.
The WUPinstaller method lets you play online, it installs games just like normal. But you'll need haxchi for certain games (and all VC games I think) and that requires you to legitimately own a certain DS game
You probably don't need to worry about blocking updates, and you don't have to use loadiine either

Yeah, half of the shit in this guide isn't even necessary. I just have Coldboot Haxchi. I've never used either Mocha CFW or done any sort of DNS to block updates.

This isn't true if you turn off quick launch and standby in the settings. Like, it'd still prompt you that it downloaded an update and it's ready to install, but all you'd have to do is turn the Wii U off, and turn it back on to make the prompt go away. But this point is moot anyway, since the Wii U isn't getting any more updates anyway.

Bootmii doesn't work on the Wii backwards compatibility mode on Wii U. If you install Coldboot Haxchi on the Wii U side of things, it offers pretty much the same functionality that bootmii on the Wii did anyway (autoboot into HBC)

Price on the WiiU is only going up, actually. Normalfags are in "Hoard all Nintendo products!" mode since the NES Classic.
