I used to tank (DRK and WAR) before SB, but now I decided to play as DPS and pick up a healer later.
I'm honestly ok with the damage/enmity changes, I only liked the jobs' mechanics/animations and they added some nice bonuses to DRK's tank stance (more MP on syphon strike, for example), but I really dislike how they work right now: DRK now just spam DA like a madman because MP pretty much never runs out anymore (until 70 I guess, too disappointed to level it now), and WAR can't change stances without losing angry points, even though they have different set of skills in both stances (plus bloodbath is kill, I loved the sound of the healing effect on big pulls).
SAM and RDM are super fun, at least.

I'm generally in tank stance for all trash in a dungeon, and at the start of every boss fight. Ideally I'll be able to just spam a few enmity combos on a boss and then get an opportunity to transition to Sword Oath without losing an attack GCD, but elsewise I just eat the loss.

From then on I can usually sustain my Requiescat > Holy Spirit spam MP needs by using Shelltron instead of a Riot combo when available to try and maintain the lead over particularly strong DPS.

However, for content with 2 tanks apparently the hot business is to Provoke > Shirk with your OT to just consistently leap large chunks of enmity so you don't have to focus so much on staying ahead.

If you're keeping threat, you're doing fine for now. The overall goals of tank is A. keep aggro, B. stay alive, and a less important C. do damage.
