I don't think I understand the question. Four Kings aren't really that unmanageable if you play aggressively. I guess the fact that the fight doesn't cater to more playstyles could make it "bad" but, really, nearly every boss in the Souls games rewards aggressive play.

Prowling Magus is a worse boss. Royal Rat Vanguard is a worse boss. Ancient Wyvern is a worse boss.
