The point I'm ultimately getting at is that parrying bosses is usually high risk, low reward, and does not make sense to try, especially for someone going in blind. Why would I try to parry the pursuer when he's killing me in one hit? Say I get lucky and land the parry, what do I get out of it? The ballista shot if I happened to parry him in a position where he'll get hit by the arrows AND I have enough time to run to the firing location, provided I even think of doing that. It's an advanced way to fight the pursuer and OP is stupid for thinking that the pursuer was easy because you can do this strat, especially because the pursuer isn't THAT hard anyway.
