I played it, and I liked it. And while I agree that it should be a contender, it came out during a REALLY good year for vidya. I'm thinking that Persona 5 and Ever Oasis are more fun.

That said, I consider the original NieR to be Game of the Decade thus far.

My problem with Persona 5 is that if you're going to make a game that's 80% visual novel, at least have the decency to make the story good. Persona 5 is a narrative slog after Kamoshida
