As for why they can make games look passable on garbage hardware, it's because they're making games exclusively for their platform, so they can squeeze every drop of power out of the system.

I'm going to UCLA and a good chunk of people who are studying CS and failing their classes are mustardrace grafix whores. You miss the point. Everything can look better. Stylized or not. Look at the grass in BotW for example. That grass can't look better without ruining the style. It can bend more lifelike, it can use more than 2 shades of green, it can have a bit more shadow and depth of field, without changing the style at all.

Just because graphics can be cheap, washed-out, ghetto-tier doesn't mean they should be. You should NOT be paying $60 for a game with half-assed art. You are ripping yourself off, and supporting the industry-of-shortcuts.

Your $60 deserves a game with more time spent making the game beautiful - whatever style that may be. Unless you're happy taking it up the ass while the guy next to you pays the same amount of money for a game that took 7 years to make instead of 6 months.

The switch defeats the WiiU in varying degrees.
When running DX9 tier effects, the Switch is just 1.5-2 times faster than the WiiU (as seem with zelda, that jumped from 720p to 900p), but when running UE4like shit (PBR, Motion blur, TXAA etc..) the switch is 5 times faster (as seem with fast RMX, that jumped from 640x720 to 1920xs1080/1600x900).
