I played this game for 15 mins and hated it

I quit after the first few quests in Skellige, the game's combat is just too boring to justify a whole new zone. It doesn't help that Skellige is boring as fuck compared to Novigrad.

It's the opposite of Skyrim a game that immediately comes to mind whenever someone uses this phrase. Skyrim is "wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle." You can be archmage without ever using more than a single spell once and leader of the companions an hour later but the game doesn't really awknowledge your accomplishments. I'm archmage but I don't do archmage stuff and have no idea what I'm supposed to do as part of my job. Thinking about this it occurred to me that the opposite of your statement, "wide but shallow pond," would actually be Witcher. In Witcher you can really only be a Witcher but you have a lot of choices within a clearly defined profession.

I also like when I can get best equipment in first 5 hours of gameplay, or when Griffin and Eredin takes the same amount of time to kill, or when the game doesn't punishes you for neglecting consumables. It makes the whole world believable and consistent.

It's better than how it was when the game released. It would always give full XP, and the regards obviously never playtested their game because there are like 4 different quests for each recommended level and it only takes 1-2 to level up.

On release, if you wanted to do all the side quests, you would end up like 7 levels above the recommended level for the story missions and everything became piss-easy. If you did the story missions at their recommended levels, you would end up seven levels above the side quests that you skipped. At least now you get one level ahead and the side quests for your level just stop giving you xp, so now you can do them all without ruining the main quest

W3 is one of the few games where I genuinely have fun just moving around their world. Shit's beautiful and the OST is insanely good.

I haven't liked doing that shit since Shadow of the Colossus.
