PC user here.
I don't own any consoles past the 6th gen.
Convince me to buy one.

There's a lot of cool games that came out on 6th and 7gen consoles

like what?
are they good multiplats? i hate exclusives and i can't justify buying a console for a handful of games.
6th gen was worthless, just some rare exceptions like RDR, even some cool weeb games from those consoles are getting PC ports, 7th gen is looking even worse unless you really like Japanese games

Naming all of the good games of nearly 2 whole gens is pretty lengthy, I'd recommend doing a bit of googling to see

what about any good XBox games? or should I just not bother?

I don't know much about Xbox but I've heard that Halo 1-3, Reach and ODST are pretty good.

It's comfy af to sit in a recliner in your pjs at night in front of a tv
Nintendo consoles are a pretty good companion to PC, as they're mostly exclusive machines with weird games for using on the go, where you can't take a desktop, whereas ps and xbox are mostly multiplat machines with the occasional good exclusive like BB or something

retard alert
I'm going to list why I switched to full idort and left me PC for niche exclusives.
>Regional servers (No huehue or korean children)
>Multiplayer games magically always have people online. Consoles maintain population regardless of online game 100x better than PC does.
>Xbox has this sweet as fuck built in LFG option that lets you get a full man party with mics in no time. This has been completely game changing feature for me personally in Friday the 13th, ESO, and SMITE
>No need to worry about hackers, they don't exist
>Backwards compatibility has become a thing on Xbox online games reviving mostly Call of Duty games, but it's still neat
>PS4 has some pretty amazing sales, Xbox isn't too shabby either
>Switch is portable and a fantastic system. Been loving ARMS and MK8
>No random crashes/game breaking glitches that only you experience. If you are having problems with a game so is everyone else and it's being worked on
>Universal optimization ensures parity in multiplayer. No turning off bushes to gain visual advantages.
>Some exclusives, but the trade off is a high powered PC will always be the best option for singleplayer games.
All I can think of off the top of my head atm. I love my consoles tho, won't go back to being a pure PC gamer ever again.
