there are two? not that it matters, necroshaman is all I'm interested in playing as, tried occultistshaman and it just didn't feel like a summoner, all occultist adds is a bit of damage from an aura and a walking bomb, and doom bolt to proc shepherd's call with.

raven has shit ai, shit attack speed, and shit damage, it's not even worth putting a single point into. Hellhound has low as fuck damage even at max level, it's only good as a walking bomb. Meanwhile, Shaman a superior pet aura, a superior secondard aura, a superior main pet (bramble thing), a burst damage secondary pet, and the ability to make itself and all of it's minions nearly immortal with wendigo totems.

The arguably strongest pet build right now doesn't even use Shaman. Abusing auras from Pyromancer with the relic that has the insect summons + Hellhound is all you need. The raven aura is included because it's really fucking good.

But to say the Shaman is more worthwhile for pets is kinda dumb when its pets are shit and the mastery doesn't provide anything useful for pets (i.e. flat damage and OA).

I don't see how that's viable, even with life leech from reaper devotion AND hp regen from yggdrasil they cannot survive more than a few seconds in ultimate, even with everything specced for hp% and survive instead of damage, I've tried; the only way they can survive is with wendigo.
