Skyrim is a bad game. It's a failure of everything that made the elder scrolls great. Todd should kill himself.

>that made the elder scrolls great
Nothing made the elder scrolls great.
It was a god awful series from the very beginning. The definition of open world cancer.
What the fuck did you just say?

>The definition of open world cancer.
>from the very beginning
Nigga you obvisouly didn't fucking play it from the very beginning.
>>381933138
Oh, but I did, my friend. I did.
Elder Scrolls: Arena was open world cancer before open world cancer became popular.
>>381933380
That seems harsh.
How did you like Terminator?
I can't think of any other company that makes games where I can wander off and find three or four quests before I hit the edge of the map. They're obviously not perfect RPG's, but /v/ has a NO FUN ALLOWED attitude when it comes to Bethesda games.
>>381933561
You mean the game made by Bethesda? I remember it being alright but I didn't finish it.
>>381933629
That's the thing. That's the exact only thing that Bethesda can claim about their games. You will have a hard time hitting the edge of the map. Because their map is oversized shit with its content spread as thin as an atom-layer.
>>381932715
Even Oblivion was better.
>>381933785
>>381933772
We gotta stretch shit out, man. I want objectives to be 10000 miles apart from each other. Just grab all the content and spread it as thin as possible. Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle, that's my kinda shit.
It's just so realistic and immersive, which is exactly how I determine the quality of my video games.
I used to love skyrim, now thata im playing dragon dogma i realice how fucking boring gameplay and questing was, man i was wrong. Good story tough, but very far from being a great game.
>>381932715
>It's a failure of everything that made the elder scrolls great.
that was oblivion
skyrim was alright in that regard, it just played up the vikings vs dragon thing way too straight and with no depth when there's plenty of lore to make it more interesting
>>381933772
>their map is oversized
the maps are tiny as fuck really, you can go between towns in a few minutes
>>381934037
Oblivion had the best side quests in the entire series, m80. Even Morrowind doesn't compete, as long as you get the rose-tinted nostalgia glasses out of your ass.
>>381934191
They're too oversized for the content they're holding. But that's never enough for you open world fags. You want them to get even bigger, despite knowing (or maybe not) that it would only mean the content would only get even more copy pasted and spread even thinner.
Agreed op. Todd should kill himself to atone for his game crimes.
>>381934328
>They're too oversized for the content they're holding
How?
You're literally tripping over someone trying to send you on a quest behind every fucking hill.
>>381935113
Taking your own life is a crime against God though. Todd would be made to suffer.
>>381932715
Elder Scrolls was never great, it was always mediocre jank that people learned to put up with.
Oblivion, and to a greater extent, Skyrim were just console players's first exposure to an open world RPG in 3D/First person.
It was all a novelty people happened to pay attention to, not a good game.
Only reason Skyrim is still alive is because modders have turned it into singleplayer sexdungeon second life.
>>381932715
*Cough* I disagree
>>381934212
To me the magic of the TES series isn't its quests. Any other series could have quests as cool as oblivion.
>>381934212
Name 1 quest in oblivion better than the pilgrimage of the seven graces
Pro-tip you cant
