I was visiting some foreign country as a tourist, I forget what part of the world it might have been in, and I couldn't tell from the way people looked. It was a relatively safe country for foreigners so tourists weren't unusual, but apparently the citizens were suffering hardcore under a totalitarian government, and the discontent was so deep and widespread that public suicides were common. So common, in fact, that the people had turned it into a form of performance art, going out in flashy and strange ways. I saw some guy dash into a restaurant I was dining at, do some interpretive dance and then hang himself on the spot. Then the Asian tourists on the other side of the hall took out their phones and started taking pictures of the corpse. I woke up a bit afterwards.

I should get back to playing Yume Nikki, I was doing good progress on collecting the effects a few months back.

I tried to for a while but just kind of stopped after like a week or two. It's just too much for me in the mornings and I usually forget it all by the time I'm really awake.

I do remember parts of a dream I had the night before last, it was very strange but kind of calming at first. I was with my sister driving somewhere, except she was like 11 and had black hair(which she doesn't have in real life). Literally every dream I have is about the friday the 13th game (less about it and more that I am in a situation where I and others escape from Jason but for some reason everything follows the rules of the video game).

Prior to this I used to have dreams of being chased by DBD killers even though I don't really play the game.

I believe being chased has to do with symbolism on running from problems. But these are constant repeat dreams. They aren't even scary ones but it's the same scenario almost every night. I and a group of others run from Jason vorhees.

Actually now that I think about it I did recently. I dreamed first about getting really angry and aggressive about something. And then shortly after I was admitted to an asylum that was also a library, except all the inmates lived in small rooms only about as large as a cabinet in a grid on the wall. Has there ever been an attempt from somebody to finish YN themself? I don't even know if there's a way to edit an RPG maker game like that, but even recreating it couldn't be that hard. I tend to have the weirdest dreams really. A few months ago I remember having a dream about Lain and Batman and somehow I went to space inside a giant pod. I also tend to dream a lot about girls I'm in love with, probably a sign of my obsessive / over romantic view of love (my love life has been nothing but oneitises/limerences/whatever you wanna call it). Recently, I dreamed I was driving all over my state, through thick forests of tall, thin trees with no branches. I arrived at a relative's house, one I'm pretty sure doesn't actually exist. She was an old lady who lived in a house made entirely of glass and her cat was a puff of white and black hair.

Yes, Yume Nikki has a manga, it's not that good to most people & myself (I like the art a lot though). There is also a light novel on it, I never read it and barely hear anything on it. You can find a fan translation for the manga easily and I think the light novel is only partially translated? I forget.
