The Vipers have three main attacks:

-spit an AoE poison cloud at one of your soldiers
-fire their laser plaster at one of your soldiers
-coil up and constrict one of your soldiers, binding them and damaging every turn until you free them or the soldier dies, and the Viper can precede that with a tongue move that grabs a soldier and pulls them to its location

No eating, though, they just release the body and move on to another soldier.
