>direct sequel comes out
>it's a prequel
WELL WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL THAT STORY FIRST YOU DUMBASS MOTHERFUCKERS!?
>>381905482
because they fucked up by writing g themselves in a corner and don't know how to move the story forward.

>this happens after a 15 year wait

>release on the best game ever
>nobody buy it
>somehow people that actually played it think it's an amazing game
>people want a sequel
>Ubisoft make sequel
>it's not what they exactly wanted
>get mad
dont be a fag, you should be happy to have a sequel in the same universe and by the same director
How many cases have there been where a prequel has actually surpassed the original?
>>381905482
To make it extra retarded also make it so that by playing the first game first you also spoil the ending of the sequel that is prequel to the first game.
>>381905482
Plenty of prequels would spoil the first game/movie/whatever. There is such a thing as a prequel that should be played after the first game, and can be used to expand on characters, story elements, the world, and so on. It's a perfectly legitimate way to handle things.

Thereby eliminating the need to actually write a decent ending because "Well, everybody already knows how it ends."
What a load of bullshit.

"sequel"
>>381906173
they might as well call beyond 2 something else a new ip, because it drastically different to the first game.
They're using the name to get a couple of extra bucks and get maximum exposure promotion instead of just a new game made by the same dev with less exposure.

What is lorebuilding.
