Very strange. I bought a 1070 last year because I love playing games and enjoy maxing out all the settings.

Whenever I hear these stories about card shortages due to some new technology being discovered (however unintended to the card manufacturers), I feel like I'm missing out on something big. Even though I never have any intention of attempting to cash in on a trend. Is that weird? I'm not well-off financially by any means. I scrape by month to month, always living paycheck to paycheck, but see no interest or motivation to make some extra money on the side, just playing the games I love. I feel like I'm defective.

I think they'll only be bottled necked if you try to game in a resolution higher than 1920x1080. If you want to go for the 144 fps they work fine. The only time I'm aware the vram was a problem was when I tried playing modded skyrim with super textures. The power though, yes dual cards take a lot more power than a single card for some reason.
