I dont like shooters, but during this steam sales i bought DOOM because some friends talked me into it.
The thing is i loved it, maybe it was the gore, maybe that it doesnt take itself to serious, maybe because it was an arcade... i dont know
but my question is: if i buy Wolfenstein will i enjoy it as much?
It's not the same game by any stretch, but it is a fun shooter. I hesitate to say you'll love it for the reasons you love doom.

I don't think so.
Most shooters are about going into cover, waiting and peeking, Wolfenstein included. Going out in the open will kill you fast because every enemy uses hitscan weapons.
There's little else in the market as fast and playable as Doom, so wait for the sequel.

probably not
Wolfenstein is story-driven with a slower, more cautious gameplay
thanks guys
though the idea of killing futuristic nazis seemed fun, for what you say it sounds like a bioshock infinite and, man, did i hate that game
No, as much as I like Wolfenstein
Play older Doom games instead

Wolfenstein is better than Infinite by miles
Wolfenstein The New Order isn't like Doom 4 very much, but you'll still probably like it a bunch.
>Didn't buy The New Order
>Did buy and loved DOOM
>Want to try The New Colossus but am worried that DOOM spoiled me
Wolfenstein is not bad, but it's a lot less pure and joyful. It's ultimately a game about shooting dudes in various uniforms. It's not bad, but it's not balls-out crazy: slower, with less riddiculous weapons, less interesting enemies, less verticality, less gore, and a lot more story.
I'd say try Serious Sam instead, and possibly pirate Shadow Warrior 2. Shadow Warrior 2 is a weird one, with a lot of non-obvious complexity and a massive emphasis on gears and load-outs which is not what most people want from a shooter: but once you'll spend 10 minutes actually tweaking your equipment, SW2 is becomes the most frantic, fast, mobile, balls-to-the-walls-insanity arena shooter.
That said, it's just weird with the loot systems and the weapon upgrading (which the game does not explain at ALL properly).
Another option might be trying to good old Painkiller. It's old, but still one of the best shooters of all time.

Its not as bad as bioshock. The gameplay is slower than doom, but still packs a hell of a punch.
I'd reccomend picking it up on the cheap.
