I don't even see a point in actually playing a game before it gets a crack outright because PC games tend to be a buggy, broken mess on their release date and the extra fucky ones release DLC within a month to extra jew you on the side.
Waiting for the crack makes bug fixes and DLC roll in with it and ensures I will be met with a stable game rather than a buyers' remorse I can't even touch until they deign to make whatever fixes it clearly needed.

It really sometimes feels like developers add random multiplayer pointlessness just so anyone that pirates the game feels like they are missing out, when all it does is honestly either turn the game into a cakewalk (Dark Souls with phantoms may as well be a stand in a corner and win simulator), or just outright turns it ridiculous like Automata.

This, had bought it but due to how buggy it was refunded on the day. Now here we are months after release and no official fix. Just spent the money I got on the refund on other non SE games, fuck them they are dead to me now.

Another thought, with the way Bethesda is going with paid mods now just imagine this more and more publishers releasing broken games and relying on "the community" to fix them with their own patches...wont be long before these patches or mods become paid for and we end up having to pay to fix broken pieces of shit. Fucking crash can't come soon enough.

I usually pirate everything that has aggressive DRM.

I do eventually end up buying it if the game is good or if I play a reasonable amount of hours but anything aggressive DRM acomplishes is making me buy on sale instead than on launch.
