Do video games make you happy, /v/? Do you still believe in the industry?

Things haven't made me happy for a long time
>>381868265
i fucking hate video games
i don't even know why i still play them
>>381868265
>he fell for the happiness meme
Yeah. Just a few days ago I found this 3DS game called Ever oasis and for some reason it hyped me a lot, to that point where you smile like an idiot for no apparent reason.
That game and the Superstar Saga remake had the same effect. And that's only talking about this month

Unknown surprising indie shit gives me a smile.
Shit like cloudbuilt, shenzen i/o, distance...
It's nice that now it is even possible that such obscure shit even exist.
But it's a bit saddening that you have to dig deep into the net to find the nice things under the pile of literal shit.

yes

The fact that there's so much shit going around is what makes finding a gem so worth the time invested.
Like Hyper Light Drifter. Such aFUNgame

Maybe the solution is just to "not fall for the marketing meme"?

I feel you, man, Thos year's GOTY for me is most likely going to end up being Hollow Knight or pic related if it releases this year.
>>381868265
absolutely
>>381868265
Yeah, I just don't participate in any of the shitstorms.
>>381868265
Yes
No

Fuck yeah, Automata recently rekindled my passion for this gay hobby.
Not visiting /v/ as much as I used to certainly made me enjoy more video games and other past times.
I don't believe in the industry but they still do good sometimes so it all works out.
