P4DAN has some really great expressive character models, though it's more like seeing the character portraits in motion rather than trying to look like anime. The models don't have any lighting, all shaded parts are textured in, it's a neat trick when done right.

ASS+HAMA, it defaults to looking at anidb rather than IMDB or TVDB, and the default language option is for romanized japanese names, with options for official english and kanji names.

Most anime don't actually air under the same name for different seasons, so each one is a separate entry, and if anything isn't quite right you can just add its anidb look up code in parenthesis.
