This man understands that adversity and existence... are one in theDARKEST DUNGEON THREAD
How'd this game get so popular out of nowhere?
>>381833536
>out of nowhere
I think you may have brain damage
>>381833536
I don't know but I just bought into the hype and don't regret it for a second
Now watch and laugh as pissbabies come to the thread to whine about RNG
>>381833372
>/vg/
>>381833536
I don't know how but now one of it's normie and I don't like it
>>381833372
I thought that said Negroid from the cata
>>381833716
Oh please, Vinny's been streaming this shit for normies for months
Also, why don't people like the Leper? He's fucking fun
>>381833636
It reached its all time peak today retard. Since its release it averaged around sub 1000/2000 players a month and now its at 20k.
there's already a general dd thread on /v/ and one on /vg/
>>381833918
Missing hits in Darkest Dumpgeon is the most fun you can possibly have while rolling a dice.
>>381833536
>>381834019
Couldn't POSSIBLY be the Steam Sale, could it? That'd be insane
>>381834253
>waahhh i can't differentiate between perfection and optimization as end goals wahhhh why won't the game let me beat it
Put your pacifier back in and shut up, nancy
>>381834019
>steam sale and new expansion just released
it didn't "suddenly" get popular, it just had new content that is bringing players back.
I just want to reiterate that you aren't very smart.
>>381834450
No, I just wanted to say that leper is shit.
>>381834720
well you suck at the game then, sorry to tell you that but its terminal.
>wake up
>boot up DD
>ammo management has been patched into the game
What do, /v/?
>>381834483
"Bringing players back"
Those monthly 1000 players don't account for the 20k playing now you inbred,
>>381834720
well you're a nerd
and I hate nerds
>>381834986
you are one stupid fuck.
>>381834986
That's some silly logic there anon. The game came out in January 2016, why do you assume that it was the same 1000 players playing the game every month for the past 18 months? Could it be, perhaps, that new people were getting into the game over that period as others left it? And that now most of them are back for the expansion? And now the steam sale has added even more new players?
There used to be this nice website showing what to bring to certain places depending on the length as well as what all the curios did and what they did depending on the items used. I cant find it anymore, does anyone know a good cheat sheet to the dungeons?
>>381833536
Steam sale my dude. That's why I got it and I'm loving it
>>381835482
>>381834289

>>381833636
>>381834019
A new expansion pack came out less than a week ago.
Dummies
>>381835553
Wait really? What was in it? I just bought the game and have never played it, so what did they add?
>>381835553
yes we are well aware of that. the point is the game didn't "suddenly get popular" but rather the sale and expansion at the same time has brought new players in and old players back.
>>381833536
Because it's atmospheric and fun, although a bit of a grindfest.
How do I get good?
Am I supposed to ignore the first Courtyard quest for a while?
That crocodile thing was ridiculous.
>>381835703
If it wasn't popular before and it is now how is that statement incorrect?
>>381835898
Because the term used was "out of nowhere"
I suck at this game. Right now, my strategy relies on banking on my heroes to become virtuous instead of afflicted.
What are the chances to become virtuous?
>>381835898
because it was popular before it just didn't have the entire fanbase playing at once because there was no expansion to bring old players back.
>walking through unscouted tunnels
>>381835982
Do you get easily confused by figurative language?
>Doing good, usual suspects doing veteran dungeons, got a cool side party too, no deaths thus far
>Make third party
>literal first thing they encounter in their adventurer careers is a stand asking for a torch
>I swear I didn't know
>once two of them die (fast) the game is like 'you could have run away the whole time btw ;)'
>helion gets a heart attack on battle end, Dogguy is the only one left with 198 stress
Well shit, I can't lose him now, he's gotta avenge them.
>>381836284
HE FUCKING ASKED HOW THE GAME GOT POPULAR, DEMONSTRATING THAT HE WAS CLUELESS
>>381833536
>>381833536
>>381833536
>>381833536
>>381833536
smashing a boss on the first try feels so good
>hamlet background music is the same chord progression and key as "You Know I'm No Good" by Amy Winehouse
>get that stuck in my head every time I play the game
Does the Antiquarian have any fucking use?
Is the Abomination even worth running?
Should I just turn off corpses? Shit is annoying.
>>381833372
>one in the same
>in the same
>in
>>381839423
>Is the Abomination even worth running?
He's the best front-runner in the game if you don't mind leaving pious members behind
>Should I just turn off corpses? Shit is annoying.
Sure, why don't you install some mods that give you infinite gold and heirlooms too?
>>381833536
It's casual as fuck but pretends otherwise, making it the perfect game for people who want to act hardcore
>>381839523"one and the darkest dungeon thread" wouldn't have made much sense now, would it've?
>>381839742
It's not supposed to make sense. It's just a meme where you add spoilered X GAME THREAD into a line from the game. It never makes sense nor should it seek to
>>381839818I'll keep that in mind next time, thank you anon
How is the abomination supposed to be be viable when he stresses out the whole party just by transforming?
>>381839423
>Antiquarian
cash money
>Abomination
great if you have an occultist or flagellant to keep him healed, or a jester to keep stress down
>corpses
Just use corpse clearing skills, pulls, and other shit to deal with them
>>381840097
It barely matters at all if you keep light levels high, I use him whenever I can and my parties get along swimmingly
>>381840097
Bring a Jester
>>381834986
Wow
>>381840097
>transforming
>not only using the superior human form and be in perfect condition at any stage of a dungeon
