It's like it's impossible for him to do good with Undertale and the reason is that he's not sincere about it.

He picked it up and covered it only because it's very popular, same with FNAF. Unlike FNAF however, Undertale is straight-forward (poorly written) and doesn't really place much expectation on the player to theory craft, everything by and large is told to you in one way or another.

I personally liked Undertale quite a bit, it reminded me a lot of Earthbound and some other SNES RPGs I played as a kid, which was nice.

MatPat at the end of the day is a business man, who knows how to make click bait and stir up shit well enough to make a quick buck but he slipped up with Undertale.

He got too greedy and dug too deep and didn't stop at any point to make sure he was at least pretending that he really cared about something a lot of people were passionate about; Undertale and Earthbound.

The amount of butthurt generated from Sand is Ness could probably run a thousand Large Hadron Colliders.

I remember when he tried to play victim fanboy over how he was collectively called out, that was beautiful.
