Hacked Vita & hacked 3DS are best.
Shit like GPD and JXD are just Chinese bootlegs by comparison

I'm not sure what the answer is but it's certainly not the raspberry pi- 100 bucks is a lowball estimate unless you're very handy with electronics.

that shit was so comfy drastic ds wars. earthbound, resident evil 2 lol i even put undertale on it. psp didnt work on bk then but apprantly it does now. even fucking sega cd expantion. the phone was chunky but i didnt care. could set the rocker to l2r2. and splashtop desktop streaming custom roms (racing xplay was god tier rom). damn i need new phone, cant even play games on my current phone
>best phone ever
cheaper models exist you can get a 50 dollar card and ones pre build or ones already set up. if it is cheaper to make it myself then i can always go on the DIY board and make it myself but i think i will be happy with whats easy.
how good is this xperia play?
fuck the guys talking 3ds probs get the phone cheaper dont need hacking it got an ok screen and dual speakers on the android platform xperia far better then 3ds as a portable console oh and its phone too

have i not sold this shit to you yet
It's definitely the 3DS. Used ones can run as low as 120$
Look around for a $10 prepaid smartphone at a grocery store. Even those are more powerful than the 3DS and Vita

phone is weak these days at a 1ghz but honestly its enough fir all the emulators. i had everything from nes to ds. you can even play time crisis on it
If GPD Win dual booted with Android it'd be incredibly comfy. Emulators would be so much better
How autistic would it be to carry a second phone attached to one of those gamepads you clip on, just for vidya purposes?

surely you could hack it somehow?

just as much as carrying around a gaming system in addition to a phone.
I like my shield tablet. There's some tablet style controllers on the market that work pretty well. Basically turning any tablet into a Switch. It will run all emulators up till like PSP /Dreamcast at much higher resolutions than their original devices. I mostly use mine to play PS4 games with remote play tho. You do have to root to get that to work tho. A windows tablet would also be an option, and it may be a better one. You would open yourself up to some PC games.
It's really down to your own preference and what kind of device you want. I like the bigger screen a tablet offers, but you may be looking for something more portable.
They all are capable similar stuff, with windows and android based devices giving you the most compatibility.
