Depends on what you after.

Sleeping Dogs is really good, but I was put off a bit by the slow start. I loved having a new setting for a GTA styled game, but its big improvement was the melee combat which I never cared that much about. I was more into finding weird ways to launch cars into the skybox in those types of games. So it depends on what you want in a game like that. May have liked it more if I hadn't played so many of the genre before.

FF7 is one of the best JRPGs I've ever played. Its got a lot of variety of things to do, keeps random battles to serious minimum, has great atmosphere, but I'm not sure someone coming into it later would feel the same attachment. I like its blocky weird characters and painted backgrounds, but I like the look of older games a lot so that could put some off.

I will say the modern tropes of shitty romance, too many cut scenes, grinding, and dull auto-battles that often get blamed on this game are a load of shit (unless you over level on that last one, don't grind at all its not needed). These things are however very much to blame in FF8, granted the grinding isn't leveling its bullshit drops on ultimate weapon crafting. FF8 has a lot of neat ideas, but its pacing is so god damn bad I've never been able to replay it.

Styx is a good if a bit flawed stealth game. It misses a bit of polish in a spot or too, but nothing I find too bad though first person would have been nice. If you like the Thief series give it a go. It differs as well in that while you can fully sneak it, you aren't really punished for going murdertastic on it either. Both are acceptable routes to go or mix and match with their own set of challenges.

Hope that helps. I liked all of them well enough, but FF7 and Styx were easily ones I liked the most.

The biggest worry is a nasty save corruption bug and general crashes. My advice, if you play the PC version, is to save and restart the game every hour or so and cycle through saves.

If you go FF7, check out Tifa's Mod. It can pretty much mod everything from not having to hold to run, to models/textures, to pretty much any other game tweak you can think of. I don't go too crazy with it so as not to spoil the game, but being able to save anywhere and some textures to make it look better on modern screens is rather nice.

Basically boils down to two factors.

If yes to both, you've no real excuse not to get it while it's on sale.

Beware that like Dead Cells, it's a rogue-lite, but there's definitely more of a panicked platformer essence (like Mega Man) than emphasis on SOULSCOMBATOHGODGOTTADODGEEVERYTHINGJUSTRIGHT.

Rewards perfection and speedrunning with bonus loot per stage too, and the bonus chambers if found, are important to clear for armor. Just follow the "don't get hit / don't dash"
instruction. You'll be fine. Still, might be a shaky purchase because early access, but the game's only getting more expensive until it actually comes out. Paid 3 bucks for it way back, it's come a long way. Devs actually seem to care more about getting the game running proper/in different languages/with proper netcode for co-op action, instead of nerfing the piss out of everything.

tl;dr - fun, moreso with friends. Refund if you hate it.

DaSIII depends heavily on a lot of factors. If you're into Dark Souls then go for it but be warned that the replayability is shockingly low.

Automata is a solid choice but it's more interesting and strange than it is mechanically fun.

Little Nightmares I've heard is good but it depends if you're into the whole "little kid with a big head in scary world" thing.

Hollow Knight I've heard is GOAT and I really want to pick it up.
