Deus Ex Mankind Divided was exactly the same game as Human Revolution, and Dishonored 2 was exactly the same game as Dishonored 1, yet the ratings for the sequels are much worse
are people stupid?

when a game has a 2 next to its title the consumer should be able to expect twice as much as everything found in the previous title
>>381802752
and when you go to McDonald's do you expect the next burger to be 2x better than the one you ate yesterday and enjoyed it?
>>381802551
I'm pretty sure they both got blasted for the exact same reasons - too much like the previous game and half-assed story. There was just a matter of performance problems Dishonored 2 suffered from that got overblown as fuck in all the reviews.

>quantity of new stuff in first game: lots
>quantity of new stuff in second game: barely any
What ratings are we going by, exactly? I think what tripped up Mankind Divided was the less conclusive ending, even though they told about the same amount of story.
I preferred MkD, Prague was beautiful and the transition it makes over the course of the plot was fantastic. Both are my GOTY for their respective years.

Is that why Super Mario 64 was such a superb game?
>>381802876
ever heard of a double cheeseburger retard
I'm 100% for sequels which are the same as the first game, however I didn't particularly like either of the first so didn't play their sequels. I wish I could support that kind of sequel, believe me.
Dishonored 2 runs like shit though, even on consoles.

If i went back and ordered another burger and they gave me half a burger and tried to sell me the other half at an additional cost like they did with mankind divided i would be.

>tfw there will never be a HoMM III 2 that is just as good as its predecessor
>>381803171
the season pass hating in Mankind Divided was a fucking meme
literally who the fuck even used this additional shit? it is as necessary as the fucking weapons packs in fallout new vegas

>not going to McDonalds 2

MD is also pretty much the only current RPG that can Witcher 3 run for its money in side missions department. Sure, it's on a MUCH smaller scale, but they were handled extremely well. Shame to hear that Squeenix bent them over and fucked Eidos Montreal in the ass.

i wasn't talking about the weapons, i was talking about the revelation that came out that half the game got cut to either be sold as a 2nd part of the game or as DLC.
>>381802551
I don't know about Dishonored 2, but Mankind Divided was basically Human Revolution 1.5. They made improvements here and there but the plot and overall pacing took a hit in quality, making it a sequel that didn't add a whole lot and feels like filler as they wanted to make an entire trilogy out of the post-Human Revolution story.
I still liked it but it could've been so much more.

Did you miss there are two pieces of story DLC out now?
>>381803674
Did you miss where I said dont reply to me?
>>381803371
Not him but I think it's more on principle. Mankind Divided isn't perfect, not that anyone's asking it to be, but there are some noticeable problems with the game's technical performance and the story could've used some tweaking. Instead the game runs half-assed and the story ends abruptly without ever really starting. I love the game, I really do, but if they thought I was going to but DLC episodes for an unfinished game, Square Enix like CDPR, Blizzard, and so many before them, was wrong.
>>381802551
Are you saying that making the same game twice is a good thing?
>>381803994
yes
>>381803887
>Square Enix like CDPR,
what?
>>381803994
It's worked for Nintendo since forever.
>>381804071
Well then what's the point? I wouldn't buy the new one if its the same as the old one. They should always try to improve.
>>381803994
if the game is good, why not
>>381802551
You are definitely stupid OP
>>381804359
It'll get stale eventually.

>are people stupid?
yes
>>381802551
