Every single game has had an excellent selection for location, but every single game has been almost soul crushingly boring. I finished the first and never another.

It's a perfectly average series, none are bad but I wouldn't call any of them GOAT either. I feel the same way about most Resident Evil games that aren't 1/REmake, 2, & 3(which are all great imo)

They somehow made The Thames be the comfiest place in the city and the most fun to parkour around.

I don't know if the sequels still do it because I never played them, but I have a sore spot for the first game starting some modern gaming trends that I hate. Like giving absolutely no rewards or reason to collect the collectibles in the game and the fact that AC made platforming all automatic. Just push forward to climb shit. No real engagement or anything with the platforming.
