I really enjoy holding it. Fits nicely in my hands compared to the old DS3. Although the light and touchpad are completely worthless so I can't call it amazing. I have not seen one game use the touchpad for anything meaningful than extra buttons and the light just has no reaon to exist. Actually the new version of it in OP's image feels cheaper than the original model. Also I don't know why they added that fucking stripe on the touchpad so you could be even more distracted by the light that does nothing.

As an idort master race I have to admit that the 360/One controller is the best feeling. Very top tier. And though im idort I admit I am very biased towards Sony. PS2 was my shit and I defended the PS3 but I have to give it all to the Xbox folks and their controller.

It's nice that it has access to using the trackpads like the SC's. But only really works for menus/moving the mouse off the screen in games where it just hands there.

That battery life and build quality are atrocious though. Pic related is easily the best controller we've had so far

My X360 controls always had problems with sticks, but with DS4 the single issue that I have seen is about R2, the springs broke (easy to fix tho)

same i dunno why this is. the ds3 was alright for my hands even though it still felt really bad compared to the 360 controller. don't know why this hurts my hands even though the slightly bigger design should be better than the ds3. xbone controller on the other hand is smooth sailing and feels like sex in the hand. i know some people don't like the angled triggers but to me they're perfect and your finger sits on it really well which probably reduces strain during long gaming sessions.

why would anyone do this? the primary hand position is all off. in action games your left thumb will be on the left analog and your right thumb will be on the face buttons which is all wonky on a controller with symmetrical sticks. asymmetrical is the GOAT for action/rpg games.

It could use some improvements and the configuration interface is shit since it's buggy and doesn't support multiple mode shifts/combination presses/using the center button for anything productive. I love the triggers, the right trackpad and the fact that it has grip buttons though.
If the bumpers were better, the face button layout was more accessible from the trackpads rather than being a crappy diamond, it had 4 grip buttons, the stick was less vestigial and the configuration interface was better (and not tied to steam) I don't think I'd want another controller.

I don't even have facebook but the share button is amazing, it lets me save screenshots. You can just save them to the PS4 and never actually share them with anyone. If you want, you could load /v/ on the PS4 browser and share them here.
