Yeah I watched all the vids posted, I went through all the reddit help pages for setup. Everything installs fine it's just FGO dies.

I tried with the 5.1 version and running FGO just has white screen then close right away.
Running with the fgo2.ova gives me the error message of "Your hardware does not support this application, sorry!"

Ironically enough my galaxy s3 runs the game fine and I get to the server down screen.

FE Heroes is a bit less bullshit in that regard due to the rate going up every time you don't get a 5 star, but then it throws it's own special brand of bullshit at you. IVs for example are cancer. Even if you get your waifu she might be totally worthless if she's -ATK or -SPD. The fact that orb colors are totally random too don't help. So if orb colors you don't want show up and one of them end up being a garbage 5 star like Joker then your pity rate goes down and all those orbs are pretty much wasted.

Tamamo Cat is an easy starter, you can outright pick her in the starting selection. She is good at clearly out groups but her self-stun on her NP makes it harder for long fights.

Tamamo-no-Mae isn't out until Halloween. She'll have a rate-up then, but you're still looking at under 1% (so 200+ summons) for even the chance at finding her. She is a fairly good support Caster, from what I understand, but doesn't offer any synergy with Tamamo Cat.

Swimsuit Tamamo is next summer, and is as hard to locate as Tamamo-no-Mae will be. (1% from a large potential pool)

The guaranteed servant would increase the odds by around double, since the craft essences are not in that roll. Yes, it's a shitty chance and will be agonizing, but he is absurdly powerful and even in JP FGO still a mainstay and one of the very best servants.
Other than that as far as 4*s go you should definitely get Herc. If you want to reroll for a specific one ontop of Waver the useful ones right now are Cat and Camilla, Emiya will be absolutely incredible a year or two from now when he gets his strengthening so he's worth considering as well.

Okay, let's talk logistics. This is only for people who want to meta game MLG pro, if you want to beat the game with your waifu and don't give a fuck, then go ahead and do that. You can.

Firstly, we're going to talk about 4*
For the first year of Fate go, getting ascension items were nearly impossible (in some cases actually impossible) so we were all stuck with unascended heroes till late in the first year. We're back in the saltmines with the NA version, you won't be able to get the full ascended hero, you can pick investment heroes if you want but, you may find that your investment hero isn't as good as you like till late in the first year.

In terms of the available 4*s
Heracles is the best of the list, hes strong starting, you should be able to ascend to get his dodge, but not enough to get his guts for some time. He alone can kill any of the enemy servants/boss monsters in the first few areas with no trouble, but he's a bit of a glass canon, so he can die early on. Normally you'd want to just keep guts on forever but this won't be an option for us in NA. He's also good at farming by just instantly killing the enemies.

Emiya is the best archer you're going to get for a VERY LONG TIME. But, hes unascended abilities leave something to be desired His NP is amazing too, so if you want a farming hero, grab emiya, he'll farm every day of the week except lancer day.

I wouldn't even mention her if she wasn't being brought up in this thread but Tamano cat is pretty bad. Her attack is bad compared to her, shes only marginally tankier than herc, and her NP isn't very good. You can probably use it once at the end of a farming mission to get a quick sweep, but since you won't have good CE's you probably won't be using it very often on shorter farm missions that we'll have access to. Straight downgrade from herc.
