You simply can't live in a post PKD and Asimov world and somehow still think Nier has insightful themes

It's kinda pitiful and hilarious at the same time how deep the writer reads into those events, when most of them are clearly just intended as simple black comedy and fanservice, and not as some reflection of kierkegaard and native americans.

Funnily enough, the scene with Pascal reading Nietzsche, just to throw the book away and concluding that shit makes no sense is like laughing in the face of all these overthinkers.
