Lot of children back then growed up with Sonic and Nintendo but Nintendo still made good games while Sonic became semi-obscure.
Lot of autists are just obsessed with their childhood, many nintendo fan are autistic but they are a lot less vocal because there is much more normal fans while most vocal today sonic fans are spergs.
Chris-Chan is just as much of a Nintendo fan as Sonic one but end up more associated with the later because of that reason.
