Scared when meeting the Dragonduck for the first time
Rage when getting eaten right in front of the chalice in Adventure
Feeling acomplished when beating Adventure
Hype when killing the last alien in Space Invaders.

I don't remember the last time when vidya made me feel so much.

Also, believe it or not, but pretty much anything by Activision is worth playing. They actually started out as an Atari 2600 developer, and were arguably the best third party dev of the 2nd generation.

Also, get the Activision Anthology for GBA and/or PS2. They have slightly different selections of games, with the GBA one having more at the cost of being on a small-ass screen and not being able to do couch co-op.

Come up with an Atari reboot for their first party selection (Pitfall's not first party).
Try and reinvent for the modern audience but still keep true to the feel of the original game.
Don't make it retarded like that Space Invader reboot

Looks to me like the DS games have entirely separate selections of games. The GBA/PS2 Activision Anthology releases are just Activision stuff. Atari Greatest Hits is just Atari titles.

If you want more general Atari releases it's also worth checking out Atari Anthology on PS2, if you want a fuckton of first party Atari titles on a home console.

I hope that this system will be a mix of old and new. Like they could use the brand name recognition to try to attract people that are interested in the old school style games, and use the "PC based hardware" to get devs on board to port PC and console games over to it as well as develop original titles. A system where old school and modern genres can coexist on the same level is pretty much everything I've always wanted in a console.
