You could literally solve the case before investigation started because Celes is the worst actor. Not only is the case super easy, but it completely demolishes any good points Celes had before she set her plan into action. She's set up as a cunning girl who knows game theory; you're not sure whether to trust her or not, but she was at least helpful, but then as soon as the trial finishes she just reveals herself as not only a terrible liar so she never owns up to the Queen of Liar name she was given, but as the nasty chuuni she was. It also completely abrupts Ishimaru's character arc for no reason as his death didn't even matter.

Sakura's case at lease doesn't make 2 characters worse off than it started as or trample on their character arc, and that's far better than anything case 3 does.

Her motive was actually borderline retard tier. She had no idea what the world outside was like at all and her goal was money? The thing that could be actually useless? Oof. Her plan was...somewhat good but relied on basically everyone being a compete retard. She was the first one on the scene in every incident. In addition to that retarded shit she chose to have a partner. A partner pretty much doubles the chance you get caught. Also her choice in partners was stupid and if you have a partner you basically have to kill them so you have to murder again for no real benefit and still increasing your chances of being caught.

The whole timed kill thing was kinda interesting but relied on Otaku boy being a retard as well and not knowing the full plan.

The most damning part of this whole stupid fucking plan is that she had virtually no red herring or contingency plan. Her "plan" was to have the most obvious innocent person framed somehow. Once that plan failed she basically just admitted it and didn't even argue back because her plan was so fucking full of holes.
