You can kill your friends anyway though so it's not a big deal. Nocturne has a happy ending where Demifiend gets to be a normal human with his friends too, after all. Nanashi's design isn't amazing, but it's not bad either, he's fifteen so it's no surprise he looks the way he does, and he suits the setting. No character models or animations aren't a big deal, the 3DS held the game back in many ways, but that's the least of them. Not to mention IV: A has some of the best boss fights in the series, the new designs are good, the deities are all really cool characters even if the humans aren't, the combat is the best the series has seen and the setting shared between IV and IV: A is one of the better settings in the series.

I don't see how Nanashi is mich worse then demi fiend except the haircut.
No one forces you to buy the grinding dlc you can.play the game just fine without it, I never got why people hated that shit because it isn't as if the game is unplayable without the dlc.
Nanashi's design is only slightly worse than demi fiends designs because of his haircut I never thought demi-fiend looked all that cool to begin with.
I give you the no 3d models, but then you must hate like 99% of the franchise because most of them are like that.

Fusion is a little better, combat is a lot better, specifically with regards to smirking and your AI partners and navigating the world map is also better. They also sort of fixed the long standing issue in the series where if you resist all of a bosses attack they'll just spam Megidolaon, they still haven't completely fixed that though.

That means he takes less damage on top of his resistance from ice spells and ice spells cost less mp and do more damage when he uses it the exact opposite happens with his - fire affinity.

It is, but it's annoying that you go and prepare a party that counters the boss and then they just spam an attack that you can't block in response. Some of the most satisfying bosses for me in the series for me were the ones that would decimate me time and again until I imagined to put together a party that let me beat the boss without taking any damage. Bosses that will just kill you in one turn for going in with a good set up are just annoying. They should at lest make Almighty weaker than the bosses elemental attacks, which I believe they did do in some of the games though I'm not sure which ones off the top of my head.

I would say IV and Apocalypse are some of the more difficult SMTs, at least as far as combat goes. Trying to navigate dungeons in SJ is as hard as the series gets, but the actual boss fights and combat are pretty hard early on in IV and they're consistently tough in IV:A, certainly moreso than what appears in the other MegaTen games I've played.

How's nocturne on psn? I play both my ps2 and ps3 but I'm considering the psn version to start. Like does it emulate well and stuff?

Reason I ask is because I got Bully on my ps4 and couldn't handle the shit analog emulation, Jimmy was swerving everywhere while trying to walk. Not sure if ps3 downloads of ps2 games have the same problem since I just got it.

At the end of the game there's an unskippable cutscene and there's something that happens in that cutscene that freezes the game 100% of the time in the European version. Depending on which ending you're going for, that means you'll either have to look up the ending on Youtube, which isn't so bad, or you'll be unable to fight the True Final Boss because that happens after the point where the game freezes, and that's a flaccid note to end the game on. I don't think that happens in the American version, but you might want to do a little research for yourself. Also, if you're thinking about playing DDS, the audio in that game is wildly out of sync with the visuals on the PS3, and I think that's an issue in the EU and American versions.
