The visuals and animations lack polish, and the soundtrack misses the mark. It still looks good but this shit is disappointing. Plus they added the speed boots to the first two games for some reason; time trials I guess. I don't mind them adding time trials but they should really stick to the mechanics of those games.

It's $40 for 3 games, 3 good games at that, and based on the streams shown so far it looks to be a faithful revision of said games while also touching up slight issues that no longer make sense like give Crash 1 a box counter and a competent save system. I've seen enough at this point to trust this effort.

People want to play the game the day it comes out publishers wanna know how many copies to make, retailers want to know how many copies to inventory. It's a win/win/win and the only time it fucks up is when journalists/reviewers are paid off, or the customer bases their preorder on a single review. Regardless, it doesn't matter if you get the game day one or a year later, you're still buying the game without ever playing it and basing your purchase on someone else's word and game play videos.

Just cause I love to mention it in every thread, tony hawk pro skater 5 was literally a 5gb tutorial on disc, and the ENTIRE game was shipped in the day 1 patch. If you didn't download it, you were literally unable to play the game outside of the tutorial. It was fucking HORRENDOUS and singlehandedly killed the franchise, not to mention the mediocre gameplay.

My man let me tell you something, the only crash game I owned growing up crash bash and only rented CTR when I was younger so when the N sane Trilogy was announced I decided to emulate the first three games with no nostalgia behind them and enjoyed all 3, 1 was kinda rough and I had to use save states but I took it for what it was.

After I was kinda interested to try out Wrath of cortex and emulated that on Dolphin (yes the version with the shit frame drops but at least I don't have to put up with those garbage loading times) within 5 levels and that shitty first boss dropped it and watching the rest of the game via playthrough the shit looked even worse, it was obviously such a rushed, uninspired clone of warped with much worse execution along with ugly graphics/presentation with weird unfitting music that I saw no need in finishing it.
