Just ordered a Steam Link because it was cheap. I got some fighting games, but what are some other 4+ player PC games? What are people's general thought's on the Link?

Allows you to play PC games in a different room without lugging your PC around by receiving a video stream of your desktop, and sending input from controllers/etc. to the PC.
Works well, but it needs an ethernet connection really.

also Helldivers

I already own Broforce, Rocket League, and Duck Game. I was eyeing Speedrunners and Helldivers, too.

I have problems with audio static with mine, but I think it's mainly my old audio receiver.
If I use digital audio from my hdmi->toslink extractor it gets all staticy and poppy after 5-10 minutes of play.
Works fine if I use composite stereo cables (red/white), but no other devices I own have a problem with extracting audio from hdmi to toslink.

It doesn't support any Dolby audio because Gabe is a jew and won't pay the licensing fees. So you need a receiver that supports 5.1 PCM if you want surround sound.

Is it still shit when you use it wireless?

I think if you have an 802.11ac router with a strong signal it should work okay.
Maybe 802.11n might work, but if you have 802.11g or lower just give up.

As an alternative to running cat5/cat6 through your wall you can use those powerline adapters that work through your existing electrical wiring. I've never tried one myself though.
