Is the vive worth it? I want it and it is on sale right now but I was wondering if anyone who already owns could give me the inside scoop
As an actual Vive owner, no. It's fucking trash.

It's not, every game is a tech demo, wave based shooter and over priced.
It's kind of a complicated question, and it really depends on how much it's on sale for and how much bullshit you're willing to put up with just to enjoy the experience.
On one hand, it absolutely delivers on the VR promise. The room tracking and hand tracking change the game entirely and make the Oculus Rift look like a Virtual Boy. The shit is so immersive that after a half hour or so of playing I'll feel weird and detatched from the real world when I take the helmet off, it's really something else.
HOWEVER, the setup for it is FUCKING ANNOYING. And you basically have to have someone on standby to operate your PC while you're playing. Make sure you have room in your house too. Also, the library is pretty limited right now, there's about two or three good games and about two dozen half-baked minigames that sell for $30 a pop, so just know thay you're gonna blow a lot of money on the actual games if you actually want something to do with the thing.
