Mage is even more boring since you really have to try to not become someone who 1-2 shots everything.
The only part that's difficult are the Archives due to everything being resistent to sorcery and the lock-on crapping out.

Go sunlight blade with great club/zwei and grass crest shield or your 100% phys shield of choice, GMB for those dark bead faggots, also have WotG and Tranquil walk of peace for shitting on greatshield spear pokers, claymore is also a great option at the cost of lower stagger values, large club is also viable and it's R2 can be aimed incredibly well. Stack as much poise as you can with havel's and FAP ring, have ascended pyro flame +5 with great combustion as a clutch too. Generally bring out the zwei against hackers or flat out tryhards.
