Will amiibo ever truly make a comeback? Is it pointless for Nintendo to continue making these with Toys to Life is clearly dying out?
>Toys to Life is clearly dying out
*other* toys to life are dying out, amiibo somehow still fly off shelves.
Check eBay for any Zelda amiibo and you'll see outrageous prices because the demand is so high.
Please die soon, amiibo. You're more cancerous than F2P.

Nintendo just needs to realize that people are collecting them because they're sanctioned merchandise of Nintendo characters, not because their gameplay functions are meaningful in any way.
And that's a good thing. It'd be terrible if something significant was locked behind these occasionally hard-to-get figurines instead of just inane things like costumes or some minor minifeature like Wolf Link in Brreath of the Wild.

Anyone can cherrypick dude.
Lego Dimensions is doing fine, I feel. Skylanders died because of Activision's greed and Disney fucked themselves over with Infinity.

The only thing that proves is no one outside Japan gives much of a shit about Animal Crossing's characters. The Kirby line's doing well, and the Zelda line is still flying off the shelves as if it were still 2015.
