Supposedly they stopped selling? This seems to be the most likely cause, but I'd like to see some actual data to back that up.

The other popular reason I hear a lot is "the fanbase is too small now", but Mighty No. 9 being funded overnight by people who I can only assume are fans of Mega Man leads me to believe otherwise. This one is probably just PR bullshit made up by Capcom to justify not making any more Mega Man games.

It's sad, Capcom shat out so many half assed games, oversaturated the market for years, and they still somehow blame "lack of support" from fans. Mega Manfags deserve better.

But hey, we're getting new Metroid games again, so maybe Capcom will follow suit revive the IP soon? They won't. Enjoy your Street Figher Ultra Mega 20lbs of Pussy and Ass Extreme Beach Volleyball Edition: Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry Series VII and shitty crossover cash grabs.
