As long as you turn off THAT graphics render and avoid those new NPCs, EE is adequate.

They changed interface in 2.3 for tablets so there's a lot of scrolling on character list and spell book, that's my only complaint. 1.3 was great.

ignore 1 completely, but make SURE you read a manual before you start 2. Be prepared to do a reroll the first time if you wrongly pick your stats.

EE is way better, mostly becasue the originals run shit on win 7 and the mods are hellish to install and not very good in general.

However the added content by beamdog is screamishly bad.
